I’m excited to start the blog section of my website! Keeping records is one of my favorite things to do. I also love behind-the-scenes stuff.

The beautiful girl on the right is my youngest daughter Brinley. I can’t believe she is graduating next week, especially considering I’m only 29! ;) Honestly though, I’m kind of ready to be done with K-12. It’s been great, but I’m excited for this new chapter in my family’s life. Brinley’s entire high school experience has been during Covid so she’s ready to be done, too. She was so good at adjusting to everything in large part because of her amazing friend group. I couldn’t have handpicked better friends for her. They have so much fun together.

We had a fun morning shooting senior portraits for a few of these friends in downtown Provo. It’s always more fun to do something like this together, plus then you get cute group photos and your photographer buys you Chick-Fil-A. It was the weekend of the marathon, which almost made me reconsider since the finish line was a few blocks away from where I wanted to shoot, but it all worked out great! I shot this entire session with my Canon EOS R and my RF 28-70mm lens. I had another shoot later that same day and the next day I woke up wondering why my arm and shoulder were so sore. I realized it’s because that lens is so dang heavy! It’s an amazing lens, I love it, but man, it’s a workout!
